Banana Toffee Sauce Pastries
You'll Need:
* 1 Package Pepperidge Farm Pastry Shells
* 1 Stick Real Butter
* 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
* 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
* 3 TBSP. Heavy Whipping Cream
* 5-6 Ripe Bananas, thinly sliced
* Powdered sugar (optional, not needed)
Bake the pastry shells for 15 minutes at 400', cool.
Do this on a cookie sheet that's lightly greased.
While they are cooking, make the sauce.
Put the butter in a saucepan on medium heat.
Whisk in the brown sugar and vanilla.
Simmer carefully about 2 minutes.
Remove from heat, and whisk in the whipping cream.
Add banana slices.
If you want, you can sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
When the pastry puffs cool, remove the lids and fill with sauce. These are delicious warm, or, at room temperature. Photo shown are banana pastries made with P. Farm pastry sheet instead of the puffs. The puffs are just easier and prettier!
